Sale Coming: Nearly 100 Vintage Cards Submission Back From SGC Grading

I was extremely pleased to receive my large submission of ungraded vintage cards (sports and non-sports) back from SGC Grading. On Twitter this was a MEGA #MAILDAY for Ogg’s Cards! The submissions started on Thursday evening as the Burbank Card Show kicked off and were made over the course of the weekend. It took just 10-11 days for these to come back in hand, even with the Presidents Day holiday having shipments closed for a day. The 97 Card submission will be coming up for sale in short order. As a collector as well, a few of these I am keeping. The vast majority is coming up for direct sales and/or auctions in March/2023.
Below are just some of the great cards taken in (PHOTOS BELOW):

(20+) of T206 Hall of Famers and Stars (Evers, Griffith, McGraw, Bresnahan, Wallace, Willis, Chase and more) range SGC 1-2

6 of the T202 Triple Folder HOF/Star cards, two dupes!

1933 Sport Kings Ty Cobb (Authentic, color added)

1949 Bowman Stan Musial SGC 2

1952 Topps #1 Andy Pakfo SGC 1

2 examples of the 1953 Topps Willie Mays SGC 1, SGC Authentic)

3 examples of 1954 Topps Ted Williams #1 and #250

1954 Red Heart Stan Musial SGC 2

1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips Duke Snider SGC 2.5

1 Mickey Mantle 1955 Bowman SGC 1

1 Hank Aaron 1956 Topps

… followed by more than 60 other cards of Musial, Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Rose, Unitas, Mikan, Cousey and others!

Lastly, my 3 examples of the 1959 Topps rookie Bob Gibson should be in-hand from SGC within 24 hours. This was my first time to EVER get to grade three examples of this great rookie Bob Gibson card at once. Grades SGC 4, SGC 5 and SGC 6. The centering on the 4 was justified with one small surface notation, but the SGC 5 and 6 will most definitely either be resubmitted or will be given to Mike Baker (PWCC) for the stars because they are so clean. In fact, the SGC 5 looks the best and there may have been a grading issue over the declared value saying $10.00 rather than $1,000 if that matters.

This submission was many ungraded buying efforts and my judgement about authenticity and not being trimmed was accurate on every card taken in. The Ty Cobb “color added” was a known issue and was visible upon purchase and the card dealer even had it labeled as “marker” for clarity.

Many inquiries and even some bids have already come in ahead of time. I cannot wait to get these to the eager buyers! Enjoy!
